Conference Theme
The 2025 World Engineering Education Forum (WEEF) and Global Engineering Deans Council (GEDC) Annual Conference will be held in Daegu, Republic of Korea, from September 21–25, 2025.
The theme of WEEF & GEDC 2025 is "Engineering Education We Need", addressing the growing demand for innovative education to meet emerging technologies and societal challenges. This theme is further explored through the following subthemes:

Call for Papers
WEEF & GEDC 2025 includes an Education Track organized in collaboration with the International Federation of Engineering Education Societies (IFEES). This track invites submissions on research and practices in engineering education aligned with the conference theme, "Engineering Education We Need." Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

- Women in engineering: Rise to the top
- Intellectual humility in one's field of expertise
- Ethical and socially impactful engineering practices

Publication in IEEE:Xplore
All Full Papers will be reviewed according to strict IEEE requirements. Accepted papers that are presented at the WEEF 2025 will be submitted to IEEE for potential inclusion in IEEE:Xplore. Once accepted, they will be indexed in Scopus, archived in the IEEE:Xplore digital library, and discoverable through Google Scholar.

Submission Instructions
- Abstracts must be received no later than March 31, 2025.
- Abstracts should be written in English, limited to one page, and formatted using the provided template, which includes detailed preparation guidelines.
- Abstracts must be submitted through the WEEF & GEDC 2025 ConfTool portal using the submission button below.
Abstract Submission
- Please note that all authors are required to create a profile via the above link before submitting their abstracts.
- During the submission process, ConfTool will ask you to enter an Abstract into a textbox. This Abstract will appear in the program if accepted, but it is not the version used for review.
- You are also required to upload an Abstract file formatted according to the provided template. This uploaded Abstract will be the version reviewed. Please note that Abstracts are not blind-reviewed.
- After submitting an abstract, authors will receive a submission acknowledgment via email shortly. If the acknowledgment is not received within a day, please contact the conference secretariat.
Review and Registration
- Submissions will be reviewed for relevance and suitability for the conference. Authors will receive feedback by April 30, 2025. However, acceptance of an abstract does not guarantee acceptance of the full paper.
- Authors of accepted or provisionally accepted Abstracts will be invited to prepare a full paper for a double-blind peer review process.
- At least one author of each accepted paper must register for the conference and present their paper.
- Papers will only be included in the conference proceedings if they are presented at the conference and accepted through the double-blind peer review process.
